The body often knows what the mind hasn’t found words for yet.
What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a gentle mind-body therapy that uses muscle testing to identify areas of stress, emotional patterns and energetic imbalance within the body.
At Whitespace Wellbeing in Baldivis, I use kinesiology to help uncover what may be sitting underneath the surface, especially when you know something feels off but you can’t quite put your finger on why.
Rather than focusing only on the symptom, kinesiology allows us to explore the deeper emotional, energetic and nervous system patterns that may be contributing to how you’re feeling.
How does Kinesiology work?
Kinesiology uses gentle muscle testing as a form of biofeedback.
This helps us communicate with the body and subconscious mind to identify where stress is being held and what your system may need in order to feel more balanced.
A session may include work with:
Emotional stress and subconscious patterns
Meridians and acupressure points
Chakras and energetic systems
Nervous system regulation
Past experiences and emotional triggers
Limiting beliefs
Essential oils, flower essences or other supportive remedies
Every session is different because every person is different. There’s no need to come in knowing exactly what is wrong or what needs to be worked on. That is all part of the process!
What can Kinesiology support?
People come to kinesiology for many different reasons.
You may be feeling:
Stressed or overwhelmed
Emotionally stuck
Constantly switched on
Exhausted but unable to fully relax
Easily triggered or reactive
Low in confidence
Disconnected from yourself
Like the same patterns keep repeating
Like your body is trying to tell you something
Kinesiology can also be a beautiful support during periods of change, grief, relationship stress, parenting challenges or when life simply feels like a lot.
Kinesiology for adults
Adult sessions give you the space to slow things down and explore what your body may be holding onto.
Sometimes there is a very clear issue you want to work on. Other times you might simply know that you don’t feel like yourself.
We can work with emotional stress, old patterns, nervous system overload, beliefs, past experiences and whatever else comes up through the session.
The aim isn’t to force anything.
It is to help your system move towards greater balance, awareness and regulation.
Kinesiology for kids
Kids don’t always have the words to explain what is happening for them internally.
Sometimes it comes out as big emotions, shutdowns, anxiety, frustration, sleep difficulties, school stress, low confidence or behaviour that seems to come from nowhere.
Kinesiology can offer kids and teens a gentle way to explore what their body and nervous system may be experiencing without needing them to sit and talk about everything.
Sessions are adapted to the individual child and are kept relaxed, safe and age appropriate.
What happens during a session?
We usually begin by talking about what has been happening for you and what you’d like support with.
From there, I use muscle testing to guide the session and identify the areas of stress that your body is prioritising.
Depending on what comes up, we’ll work with emotions, meridians, nervous system patterns, energetic systems, acupressure points, subconscious beliefs and supportive remedies.
You remain fully clothed throughout the session and everything is gentle and non-invasive.
